Embrace joy while letting go of disappointment
As 2024 comes to a close, many of us will be reflecting and making resolutions for the new year.
Recognizing what has worked and what hasn’t worked in our lives is usually part of this process. I believe it’s so important to forgive yourself for things that didn’t go as planned, and to celebrate the big and small victories you’ve achieved.
If you can acknowledge your emotions when they surface, you can let go of them more easily. The more we let go of the old, the more room there is in our hearts and minds for new growth.
We are all so blessed here in La Jolla. We all have something to be grateful for, and even in difficult circumstances, we can find joy if we look for it.
As we say goodbye to this year, let’s consciously create space in our homes and communities for a joyful start to 2025.

The parking lot needs to be restored as soon as possible.
La Jolla is unnecessarily quiet. On Coast Boulevard South, contractors recently fenced off more than a dozen needed parking spaces and installed warning signs around two older rental properties slated to become taller, newer ones. .
Then one week there was some noise (from construction) for a few hours, and the next week it was quiet.
I miss parking spaces. I wish the developers would finish it.
