A body was discovered Tuesday after a mobile home caught fire in San Marcos, sheriff’s officials said.
The fire started around 11:50 a.m. when residents at a mobile home park saw one of the homes engulfed in flames on East Barham Drive, just south of Highway 78, Lt. Josh Stone said. was reported at the time.
Stone said a body was found inside the home after firefighters extinguished the fire. No other injuries were reported.
Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office Bomb and Arson Squad were called to the scene.
The cause of the fire and details of the deaths are under investigation, Stone said. The person’s identity has not been disclosed.
No other details were immediately available Tuesday.
