Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and his wife, model Behati Prinsloo, are exploring Pacific Palisades history by listing their prized mansion for $57.5 million.
If they are priced, it would be one of the most expensive sales coastal communities have ever seen. The current crown belongs to mansion developer Adi Tavangaryan, who sold the spec house for $83 million last year.
Mr. Levine and Mr. Prinsloo are the latest in a line of high-profile individuals to own more than three acres of private park-like property. It was purchased in 2018 from Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner for $31.95 million and was previously owned by prolific actor Gregory Peck and Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer.
The price is $25 million more than what Levine and Prinsloo paid, but the increase reflects a more competitive market and the extensive remodeling the couple oversaw during their stay. No stranger to flipping houses, they bought a Beverly Hills mansion for $33 million in 2018 and flipped it to Ellen DeGeneres a year later for $45 million.
If the Palisades property looks familiar, it’s because it was featured in Architectural Digest’s “Open Door” series. In a 10-minute featurette, the couple introduced the art-filled property, centered around a 9,000-square-foot ranch-style home designed by midcentury architect Cliff May.
This is one of three structures on the property. There’s also a four-bedroom guesthouse and a separate building with a gym, office and yoga studio.
Reached through a long, winding driveway lined with towering trees, the main house has five bedrooms and eight bathrooms with stucco walls, warm wood floors, and steel windows and doors. Amenities include a Dolby movie theater, game room, marble bar, stone bathroom, and walk-in refrigerator.
The highlights continue outdoors, with walking trails leading to the swimming pool, spa, basketball court, fire pit, and chicken coop.
Levine, 43, is Maroon 5’s lead vocalist and guitarist. The Grammy Award-winning pop-rock group’s hits include “She Will Be Loved,” “This Love,” “Moves Like Jagger,” and their seventh studio album, “Jordi.” There is. ‘ was released last year.
Prinsloo, 33, has appeared in ad campaigns for numerous luxury brands, including Juicy Couture and Tommy Hilfiger.
Kurt Rappaport of Westside Estate Agency owns the listing.
