The Antelope Valley Transit Authority (AVTA) is offering a special transportation service for the 2023 California Poppy Festival, which will take place from April 21st to 23rd at the AV Fairgrounds. In addition to the regular Route 9, which services bus stops #736 and #725 at the fairgrounds, AVTA will provide a Poppy Festival Special route. This route will run from the Lancaster Metrolink Station to the AV Fairgrounds, with a stop at the Owen Memorial Park Transit Center.
For residents of Palmdale, connecting to the event is easy. You can take Route 1 to the Owen Memorial Park Transit Center or take the Metrolink to the Lancaster Metrolink Station to connect to the special service.
The 2023 Poppy Festival Special will operate at the following times:
- Friday, April 21: 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM
- Saturday, April 22: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- Sunday, April 23: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Buses will run every 30 minutes during these hours. Please note that this is a special event route, so buses will only stop at the specified locations. To ensure the schedule is maintained, make sure to check the 2023 Poppy Festival Special Schedule for departure times and to confirm connecting points with Metrolink.
